Why UAE businesses need an approved auditor

What does the UAE corporate-tax and audit regime mean for your business?

Since June 2023, the UAE's 9% corporate tax applies to most businesses earning above AED 375,000. Under Federal Decree-Law No. 17 of 2025, the FTA's audit window now extends to 7 years for Corporate tax — and ADGM and DMCC have tightened free-zone reporting requirements. Businesses that get these wrong face penalties of up to AED 50,000 per violation.

A statutory audit signed by an ADGM or DIFC Approved Auditor, a correctly filed corporate-tax return, or an outsourced MLRO when a regulator calls — this work requires a licensed, approved firm. Bin Ghannam holds every approval required to do it, and has done so since 2015.

We are the authorised audit service provider for EMAAR Malls, an ACCA Gold Employer (Ref. 27199690), an ICAEW signatory, and hold AED 3M professional indemnity insurance. Our partners have held senior roles at KPMG, are Fellows of ICAP, and are licensed CPAs.
